Need more proof that Columbia Pictures' forthcoming adaptation of The Green Hornet is essentially doomed?

Just look at Cameron Diaz!

Current reports suggest that the actress, probably best known for her role in the Charlie's Angels film franchise, is in talks for the female lead in the superhero film, which, at this point, looks like a comedy vehicle for Seth Rogen.

No details were released as to who or what character she'll play, but this sounds like an absolute disaster.

Way to shit on a franchise and comic book classic, Columbia!
